Does AG Alan Wilson Have a Criminal Record?
It appears to be very plausible, but his handlers and campaign staffers are SILENT. Such a history would certainly help explain this AG's softness on crime.

According to responses from a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), request for a 1992 Incident (#6901992000874CR) in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, a Michael Wilson with the same date of birth as S.C.’s attorney general, (July 16, 1973), was previously charged - and possibly arrested - in Elizabeth City, NC for “injury to personal property.”
Limited information was available from Pasquotank County Sheriff’s Office and the Albemarle District Jail given the time that has elapsed since the incident. Requests to AG Wilson’s gubernatorial campaign, his FOIA office, and his communications Director were ignored.
The charge of § 14-127 Willful and wanton injury to real property, legally described as below, could have been a misdemeanor or felony depending on the value of the property damaged:
If any person shall willfully and wantonly damage, injure or destroy any real property whatsoever, either of a public or private nature, the person is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor. Unless the conduct is covered under some other provision of law providing greater punishment, if any person shall willfully and wantonly damage, injure, or destroy the residential real property of another, and that damage, injury, or destruction results in damages valued at one thousand dollars ($1,000) or more, the person is guilty of a Class I felony.
Why is this Important?
Wilson wants to be governor, and voters want/need to vet candidates. If this is/was AG Wilson, did he disclose this indiscretion to the State Bar or did he LIE to them? Does Wilson use several aliases to help avoid uncovering his past? Since the S.C. State Bar requires applicants be of “good moral character,” shouldn’t such a charge have been disclosed at the time of joining?
Also curious is that the S.C. Bar lists our AG’s name as “Alan McCrory Wilson,” yet the S.C. Ethics Commission indicates “Michael Alan Wilson.”
Also noteworthy is that “Alan Wilson” has an LLC that he has failed to disclose on his Statement of Economic Interests in apparent violation of state ethics laws; even more suspect is that the address of record for the LLC is a home he sold over a decade ago.

To summarize these findings on Wilson…
He uses at least three aliases and three mailing addresses.
Wilson may have had a criminal record as a young adult.
This AG may have dishonestly withheld relevant information about his criminal history to the S.C. Bar at the time he became a lawyer (2003).
The state’s top prosecutor has not properly disclosed a business to the S.C. Ethics Commission despite his being the registered agent.
The unprecedented number of recusals at the S.C. Ethics Commission and our General Assembly’s failure to prioritize a solution is benefiting Wilson greatly to the detriment of the electorate that depends on the Commission to adjudicate (alleged) misconduct.
Thank you for reading! and PLEASE Vote Hard on 6.9.26!

I am not a fan of our AG but to be fair, was he convicted of any crime? An arrest is not proof it is an accusation.
